Terms of Service
Effective: September 2026
Who we are
J&D Vantage Quant LLP ("we", "us") is a limited liability partnership registered
in India carrying on the business of custom software development and process
automation. References to "the client" or "you" mean the person or entity engaging us
to build software.
Acceptance
By using jdvantagequant.com you accept these terms and the privacy policy below.
Any specific engagement is additionally governed by a signed scope of work, which
prevails over anything on this website if the two differ.
What we supply
We supply software development services: writing, testing, documenting and
delivering software to a written specification agreed with the client, together with
optional maintenance of software already delivered.
We do not supply investment advice, trading services, fund management or
any financial service. We do not accept or hold client funds, do not operate
client accounts, and do not take any share of any trading outcome. See the
compliance page for the complete statement.
Client obligations
- You must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to contract.
- You are solely responsible for deciding what the software should do, and for the consequences of operating it.
- You hold and control your own accounts, credentials and API keys. You must not send us broker passwords, trading credentials, API secrets or OTPs — we will not ask for them and will not accept them.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your own use of the software complies with the rules of your broker, your exchange, and all applicable law and regulation.
- You may not use anything we build for market manipulation or any unlawful purpose.
Fees
Fees are fixed in advance against an agreed scope and invoiced as a one-time
development fee, as milestone payments, or as a periodic maintenance fee. All fees are
professional fees for engineering work. No fee we charge is calculated by
reference to your trading volume, profit, loss or assets.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our registered
place of business have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Software, Ownership & Liability
Effective: September 2026
Ownership
Unless the scope of work says otherwise, intellectual property in software written
specifically for a client passes to that client on receipt of final payment. We retain
ownership of our pre-existing tools, libraries and general know-how, and grant the
client a perpetual licence to use those components as embedded in the delivered work.
No warranty of outcome
We warrant that delivered software will materially conform to the agreed written
specification, and we will correct defects against that specification. We give
no warranty whatsoever as to any commercial or financial result
arising from operating it. Software that correctly implements a rule set is not a
representation that the rule set is a good one.
Operational risk
Automated software carries operational risks that the client accepts on deployment,
including but not limited to connectivity loss, broker or exchange downtime, API
changes, data errors, latency, unexpected market conditions and defects. The client is
responsible for supervising, testing and where necessary halting any system they
operate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or
in connection with any engagement is limited to the fees actually paid to us under
that engagement. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits,
loss of opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here
excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 2026
What we collect
- Name, email address and phone number, when you choose to send them to us.
- The content of your correspondence with us, retained so that we can answer it and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Project material you share with us for the purpose of the engagement.
The contact form on this website does not transmit anything to us
or to any third party. It composes a message and hands it to your own email client —
the data never reaches this website's hosting, and nothing is stored in your browser.
What we do not collect
We do not collect or want your broker credentials, API secrets, passwords, OTPs,
bank details or payment card numbers. We will never ask for them.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and deliver the services you have engaged us for.
- To maintain records of our correspondence and contracts.
- To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for
marketing. We disclose it only where required by law, or to our professional advisers
under a duty of confidentiality.
Third-party services
This website loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the
request for that font, including your IP address. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages,
whose servers process requests in order to deliver pages to you. We run no advertising
or behavioural tracking on this site.
Your rights
You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us
to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Write to
jdvantagequant@gmail.com.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: September 2026
Before work begins
If you cancel a signed scope of work before development has started, any advance
paid is refunded in full.
After work begins
Where an engagement is structured in milestones, milestones already delivered and
accepted are non-refundable. Amounts paid against milestones not yet started are
refundable. Partially completed work is settled pro rata against time actually spent,
evidenced on request.
Maintenance agreements
A maintenance agreement may be cancelled with notice and will run to the end of the
period already paid for. We do not issue partial refunds for unused portions of a
maintenance period.
Trading losses are not refundable
For the avoidance of doubt: our fees are charged for engineering work delivered.
A loss incurred while operating software we built is not a ground for a
refund, because we neither control nor participate in the client's trading
decisions, accounts or results.
How to raise a request
Email jdvantagequant@gmail.com with
the engagement reference and the reason. We aim to respond within seven working days.
